Remove any engine covers or components blocking access to the valve cover, then loosen the cover bolts in a crisscross pattern and lift the cover away. Press the old grommets out from their bores using a pick or flathead screwdriver, clean the seating surfaces, and press the new grommets firmly into place by hand until fully seated.
