Starting at $13.95, AutoBuffy stocks 1 fuel pressure regulators from SKP to fit your Chevrolet Llv. The fuel pressure regulator controls the pressure of fuel delivered to the injectors, keeping the air-fuel mixture correct at all engine loads. A failed regulator causes rich or lean running, hard starts, and damaged injectors if left unaddressed.
The most important decision is matching the regulator to your fuel system type — return-style systems use a vacuum-referenced regulator mounted on the fuel rail, while returnless systems integrate the regulator into the fuel pump module inside the tank. Beyond fitment, consider whether you want a direct OE replacement or an adjustable unit if the vehicle has modified injectors or a performance tune.
| Option | Best for | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| OE-Replacement (Fixed Pressure) | Stock engines, daily drivers, emissions-legal vehicles | Exact factory pressure setting, direct bolt-on fit, no tuning required |
| Adjustable Aftermarket | Modified engines, upgraded injectors, forced-induction builds | Dial-in fuel pressure to match fuel system upgrades; requires a fuel pressure gauge to set correctly |
| In-Tank Regulator / Pump Module Integrated | Returnless fuel system vehicles where the regulator is part of the pump assembly | Complete unit that addresses regulator and pump sender failures together; best chosen as a matched assembly |
| OEM Remanufactured | Budget-conscious repairs where original-spec reliability is the priority | Rebuilt to OE specification, often at lower cost than a new OE part, with a warranty comparable to new units |
Relieve fuel system pressure before opening any fitting — connect a gauge, locate the fuel pump fuse or relay, crank the engine until it stalls, then crack the fitting with a rag over it. On rail-mounted regulators, disconnect the vacuum line, remove the retaining clip or bolts, and pull the regulator straight out before pressing the new one firmly into the O-ring seat. On in-tank units, drain or siphon the tank, disconnect the fuel lines and electrical connector at the pump module, and unthread the lock ring before lifting out the assembly.
