Will this Mopar seat back cushion cover fit my exact trim level, or do I need to match a color/trim code?

Yes — seat back cushion covers are trim-specific. Mopar parts are built to the original factory color and material codes (e.g., cloth, leather, vinyl, specific dye lots), so you should verify your vehicle's interior trim code, usually found on a sticker inside the driver's door jamb or on your original window sticker. Using the wrong trim code can result in a visible color mismatch even if the cover fits the seat frame correctly.

Is this a drop-in replacement or does it require a shop to reupholster?

Most Mopar seat back cushion covers are designed for dealer-level installation and require removing the seat from the vehicle, detaching the seat back frame, and carefully fitting and clipping or hog-ring stapling the cover onto the foam cushion. Skilled DIYers with trim removal tools and hog-ring pliers can complete the job, but it is more involved than a bolt-on repair. Always compare the attachment method (clips, hog rings, hook-and-loop) against your original before purchasing.

Does buying a Mopar seat cover instead of an aftermarket brand protect my factory warranty?

Yes. Mopar is Stellantis's official OEM service-parts brand — the same parts Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, and Fiat dealerships use. Installing a genuine Mopar seat back cushion cover carries no risk of voiding your factory or extended powertrain warranty under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, whereas some dealers may dispute warranty claims tied to non-OEM interior components that caused or contributed to a defect.

Can I order just the seat back cushion cover, or do I also need to replace the foam pad underneath?

The cover and the foam cushion are sold separately by Mopar. If your foam is deformed, torn, or retains an odor, replace both at the same time — it costs very little extra in labor since the seat is already disassembled. If the foam is intact and holds its shape, the cover alone is sufficient to restore the seat's appearance.
